Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information is collected when you visit this website or buy The Inside Rules, and what happens to it. The short version: this website doesn't run analytics or advertising trackers, and it doesn't sell your information to anyone.
1. Who we are
This website is run by James Whitfield — "Iron James" — the author name used for the Manual and the YouTube channel. Purchases are handled by Gumroad as the merchant of record. Contact: support@ironjames.com.
2. What this website stores in your browser
The page saves two small values in your browser's session storage: the time the launch countdown ends, and whether you've already seen the "before you go" pop-up, so it doesn't show twice. They stay on your device, are never sent to us, and are deleted when you close the browser tab. We don't set advertising or tracking cookies.
3. Services that load on this page
To show the page, your browser connects to a few outside services. Like any website, they receive basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type, under their own privacy policies:
- Google Fonts — for the typefaces. Google Privacy Policy

- Our web host — Cloudflare Pages — which keeps standard server logs.
4. When you buy the Manual
Checkout and payment happen on Gumroad. Gumroad collects your payment details — we never see your full card number. Gumroad shares with us what we need to deliver the Manual and support you: typically your name, email address, country, what you bought, and the price paid.
We use that information only to:
- deliver the Manual and any updates to it;
- answer your questions and process refunds;
- keep the records the law requires for sales and taxes;
- send you occasional emails about the Manual or the channel — only if you agreed to that, and every email lets you unsubscribe.
We don't sell or rent your information.
5. If you email us
We keep your message and email address so we can answer you and keep a record of the conversation.
6. How long we keep it
We keep purchase records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting, and support emails for as long as they're useful to help you. You can ask us to delete anything we aren't legally required to keep.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live — including California and the European Union — you may have the right to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how it's used. Email support@ironjames.com and we'll respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Children
This website and the Manual are meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 16.

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
